Four persons were killed and a woman was injured today after lightning struck them in different parts of the state, police said. Two persons were killed and another was injured after lightning struck them near Chaingada village under the jurisdiction of Badaninagar police station of Ramgarh district, the police said. Two youths had taken shelter under a tree during heavy rainfall and thunderstorm, a police officer said.

In the third incident, a labourer was killed after lightning struck him in Maluatand under the jurisdiction of Deori police station in Giridih district, the police said.
