MUSSOORIE: A major accident has taken place in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. A decades-old bridge built right next to the Lakshmi Narayan temple in the library market collapsed in Mussoorie. A dumper full of debris was passing through the bridge, when it broke down.
As the bridge collapsed, the dumper fell down, killing the driver. Another youth has also suffered serious injuries. A Scorpio vehicle was also involved in the accident, although the occupants of this vehicle escaped unhurt.
Former municipal chairman OP Uniyal, an eyewitness to the incident, said that the truck was full of debris. As soon as the truck reached in front of their restaurant, there was massive traffic jam on road. After that, the decades-old bridge also collapsed. Due to this, the truck fell on the Doon-Mussoorie road.
