To mark Veer Baal Diwas, the Government of India is organising 'participative programmes' across.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the national programme marking ‘Veer Baal Diwas’ at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today.
Awardees of the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) are present in the programme, and the PM, yesterday, in a post on his X, said he would interact with them.
Addressing the gathering, mostly school students, on the occasion, the PM said, "Whenever this day of December 26 arrives, it gives me the satisfaction that our government has started celebrating Veer Baal Diwas, inspired by the valour of the Sahibzadas."
"Over the past four years, the new tradition of Veer Baal Diwas has carried the inspirations of the Sahibzadas to the new generation. Veer Baal Diwas has also created a platform for building courageous and talented youth. Every year, children who do something remarkable for the country in different fields are honoured with the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar. This year too, this award has been given to 20 children from different parts of the country," PM Modi added.
PM Modi stated that in the coming 10 years, efforts will be made to completely liberate Indians from the mindset of salvery.
PM Modi added that during the last winter session of the parliament, MPs delivered speeches in different languages apart from Hindi and English, calling the diversity the strength of the country.

The activities include storytelling sessions, recitations, poster-making and essay-writing competitions, among others. These would be conducted in schools, Child Care Institutions, Anganwadi centres, and other educational platforms, as well as through online activities on the MyGov and MyBharat portals, according to an official release.
On the occasion of the Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on 9th January 2022, the Prime Minister had announced that 26th December would be observed as ‘Veer Baal Diwas’, to commemorate the martyrdom of Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, whose unparalleled sacrifice continues to inspire generations.
