Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest place in Himachal today after several parts of the state saw continued rains in the last 24 hours, the Meteorological department said. As per data recorded this morning, the highest rainfall was recorded in Paonta Sahib of Sirmaur district at 139.4 millimetres, Met director Manmohan Singh said. Dharamshala witnessed 134.4 mm rain, followed by Kangra with 133 mm, Palampur with 120 mm and Nahan experienced 96.3 mm rain during the last 24 hours, he added.

Keylong recorded the lowest temperature in the state at 12.8 degrees Celsius, Singh said. The minimum temperature in Kufri and Manali was 14 degrees Celsius, followed by 15 degrees Celsius in Kalpa, 17.1 degrees Celsius in Shimla and 18.1 degrees Celsius in Nahan during the last 24 hours, he added. Una was the hottest in the state with a maximum temperature of 35.4 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Bhuntar was 33.2 degrees Celsius, followed by 32.9 degrees Celsius in Hamripur and 32.8 degrees Celsius in Bilaspur, Singh said.
