In the Rajya Sabha on 29th July, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, and other ministers will engage in the discussion. Sloganeering and Protests Disrupt Ongoing Monsoon Session
In the ongoing Monsoon session, the Lok Sabha was adjourned till Monday, 28th July, amid sloganeering and protests by opposition members in the well of the House. Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are scheduled to meet again on Monday, 28th July, at 11 AM.

The Upper House was adjourned at 2 PM and will meet on Monday at 11 AM as well.

BJP MP Jagdambika Pal, who chaired the Lok Sabha on the fifth day of the Monsoon session, urged opposition MPs to maintain decorum in the House. He requested that they allow the introduction of the private member's bill, which the opposition was obstructing as they demanded a discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIT) of voter lists in Bihar, ahead of the state elections this year.

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju spoke to ANI following the adjournment of the parliament, stating, "Before the Monsoon session began, several opposition parties, including the Congress, had requested that Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam terror attack be discussed in Parliament. The government has said that we are ready to discuss these matters."

Rijiju also noted that only one bill had been passed since the beginning of the session, adding, "The opposition has been creating a ruckus in Parliament from day one, protesting both inside and outside the House, and not allowing the proceedings to function. In the first week of the Monsoon session, we have only been able to pass one bill. I urge all opposition parties not to disrupt the proceedings of Parliament."

Opposition Parties Continue Protests Over Bihar Voter List Revision

TMC MP Mahua Moitra, speaking to the media regarding the SIT, said, "Such a thing has never happened in the history of India. The Election Commission, which is a constitutional body, is working as a branch of the BJP. The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) speaks like a spokesperson for the BJP. In 24 hours, the number of untraceable voters has gone from over 11,000 to more than 1 lakh. If the Home Ministry is trying to say there are 56 lakh illegal voters in Bihar, where did they come from?"

BJP MP Dinesh Sharma, commenting on the ongoing protests by the opposition, described them as "directionless" and said, "What does the opposition want? Even they cannot tell. They only want chaos and disruption. A whole week has passed, and they haven't let the House function. The negative attitude of the directionless opposition is harming the public."

Congress MP Rajeev Shukla said protest will continue and that the governement should pay attention.

"It has been 5 days since we have been protesting against this (SIR) in Parliament. The Election Commission should pay attention to this... The way votes are being manipulated... People feel there is a conspiracy in this... When the Election Commission is involved in such activities, there is strong opposition. The protest will continue. The opposition is united, and the Election Commission will have to make changes in this... This is an important issue..."Congress MP Rajeev Shukla is quoted as saying by ANI.
