Pahalgam Terror Attack: 6 Slain Tourists from Maharashtra, Mortal Remains Being Brought Back, Says Fadnavis
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday confirmed that six of the tourists killed in the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives, were from Maharashtra. He stated that their mortal remains are being brought back to the state, as reported by PTI.
According to the report, the Chief Minister has deputed ministers to oversee the arrangements for transporting the remains.
Fadnavis strongly condemned the attack, calling it a cowardly act.
The deadly terror attack, which targeted civilians, has shaken the entire nation. It is being described as the deadliest such attack on civilians in recent years. In response, the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint search operation in the region.
Following the attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah rushed to Srinagar, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was on a two-day official visit to Jeddah, cut his trip short and returned to India.
