On Tuesday afternoon, terrorists opened fire on a group of tourists in the picturesque Baisaran meadows above Pahalgam, killing at least 27 people, including two foreign nationals and two locals. The victims, many from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, were enjoying the scenic valley often referred to as “mini Switzerland” when gunmen ambushed them.
