‘Birch by Romeo Lane' was a popular nightclub in Arpora, Goa, which became the site of a devastating fire on December 6, 2025.
Goa fire case Update: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting searches in connection with the ‘Goa fire case’ at eight premises linked to the Luthra brothers in Delhi and Goa, news agency ANI reported on Friday, citing officials.
Of the eight premises, five are being searched in Delhi, while the remaining three are in Goa, including the residences of the Luthra brothers.
“Searches are being conducted at 8–9 locations across Delhi and Goa, including premises at Outram Lines (Kingsway Camp), Tatvam Villas, Gurugram, etc., as well as the premises of the then Sarpanch, Roshan Redkar, and the Panchayat Secretary, Raghuvir Bagkar, in Goa, who are alleged to have facilitated and issued illegal trade licences and NOCs,” ANI quoted officials as saying.

ANI added that ED teams are also present at the premises of a person named Surinder Kumar Khosla to examine the money-laundering angle arising from the illegal conversion of khazan land (salt pan), on which ‘Birch by Romeo Lane’ was situated.

The blaze, reportedly caused by indoor fireworks during a dance party, killed 25 people and injured several others.
Officials further said that search operations have been underway since early Friday morning at the residential and office premises of the Luthra brothers and Ajay Gupta, owners of ‘Birch by Romeo Lane’, to probe the money-laundering angle linked to the club’s illegal functioning and the role of its promoters.
