Shubhkaran Singh death news: Who was Shubhkaran Singh? Farmers' protest in 2024 intensified as the young farmer Shubhkaran Singh died at the Khanauri border during the clash between the protesting farmers and police officials. 

Shubhkaran Singh, a 21-year-old farmer from Bhatinda, was killed in clashes between security personnel and protesting farmers at the Khanauri border on Wednesday. 

According to information, the deceased had suffered an injury to his head, however, the exact cause of his death would be ascertained only after the post-mortem examination because officials said that he died of a bullet injury.

It has been reported that Shubhkaran was brought dead but the initial examination suggested he was hit by a bullet. 

Farmers at the Khanauri and Shambhu borders said the police fired rubber bullets along with tear gas shells while the Haryana police officials said that the farmers attacked security personnel with stones and sticks.

The police also alleged that the protesters poured chili powder on stubble and set it on fire at the Khanauri border. 

In the meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said, "The news of the death of 21-year-old Shubhakaran at Khanuri border is a matter of great sadness that the youth of my state is no longer in this world. I want to ask the central government is the farmer of Punjab not allowed to go to the capital of his own country?"

"We express our heartfelt condolences to the family of Shubhakaran in this hour of sorrow... We assure to that help the family in all aspects economically and socially... After the post-mortem, appropriate action will be taken against the responsible officials," said Punjab CM.
