Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Friday, while addressing the nation on the 70th Independence Day, made several announcements, and one of them was ‘Sudarshan Chakra Mission’, which is aimed at elevating India’s security over the next decade.
The mission is aimed at integrating advanced surveillance, interception, and counter-attack capabilities to enable the swift neutralization of threats across domains.
He emphasized the importance of developing domestic jet engines.
Sudarshan Chakra Mission is aimed at creating a shield to protect India’s strategic, civilian, and religious sites from potential attacks from the ‘enemy’.
“The entire modern system should be researched, developed, and manufactured in India, harnessing the talent of our youth. This powerful system will not only counter terrorist attacks but also strike back at the terrorists,” Modi said.
