A wanted criminal, carrying a reward of Rs 1.50 lakh on his head, was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police from Noida.

A wanted criminal, carrying a reward of Rs 1.50 lakh on his head, was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of Haryana Police from Noida in Uttar Pradesh. A spokesperson of the police department said the arrested criminal has been identified as Pardeep Lohar alias Kala, a resident of Badala in Hisar. Lohar, absconding since 2017, was allegedly involved in several cases of crime including murder, dacoity and loot, he said, adding 24 cases were registered against the accused at various police stations in the state and in Delhi.

Haryana Director General of Police B S Sandhu congratulated the STF chief and IG Saurabh Singh, DIG STF Sateesh Balan and their entire team for intensifying efforts to crackdown on wanted criminals in the state. An STF team got information that Lohar was in Noida and had the intention to commit a crime. The team, led by two inspectors, went to Noida and nabbed him from Sector 23 area there, the spokesperson said. Lohar had allegedly shot dead his accomplice Pradeep Jamwadi and his mother, following which a case was registered against him at Civil Lines Police Station in Hisar, he said.
