The “Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod” maha rally by the Congress party began today at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, targeting the ruling BJP-led NDA government. A large number of people gathered at the venue, with protesters chanting slogans of “Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod.”
A member of the Congress Women’s Wing, dressed as a prisoner for the rally, said she was portraying the role of Election Commission of India (ECI) official Gyanesh Kumar.
Talking to the media, she stated,“Vote theft is not just about votes; it’s also about exam paper leaks, crimes against women, rising taxes, and looting the public in every possible way. Vote chori is the biggest crime.”
She added, “Gyanesh Kumar’s senses should be back on track. He should understand that if he still doesn’t improve, the public will parade him with chains around his neck.”

Congress MP Sukhdeo Bhagat said,“…Today, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, we are holding a massive rally at Ramlila Maidan. The message is that it is your responsibility to answer. The Election Commission must become accountable and transparent.”
Meanwhile, BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain told ANI that the Congress party’s rally would be a “complete failure,” adding, “The Congress is losing because of its own deeds, and they know this. They want to shift the blame onto EVMs, the Election Commission, and others. Congress leaders themselves are questioning their leadership. To prevent those questions from being raised, they are holding this rally. Even by gathering a crowd, nothing will change. Congress should remember that the people of Delhi had wiped them out to zero, and the people of Bihar gave them only six seats.”
On the other hand, Odisha Congress in-charge Ajay Kumar Lallu told ANI, “The way democracy in the country has been held hostage is alarming. Undoubtedly, this BJP government is a vote-stealing government. Rahul Gandhi held press conferences in various states and presented information about every voter and polling booth to the country, the media, and the public. I believe that the BJP today certainly wants to dismantle the democratic system and move towards dictatorship.”
