Changi Airport is planning to connect to even more Indian cities soon, like Jaipur, Lucknow, Surat, and Chandigarh.
Travel between India and Singapore just reached new heights—literally! In 2024, 5.5 million passengers flew between the two countries, breaking all previous records and signaling a powerful post-pandemic travel rebound.
That’s a 12 percent jump from last year and a massive 15 percent rise compared to 2019, according to stats released by Changi Airport. India is now the sixth biggest market for the iconic Singaporean travel hub.
Want to jet off to Singapore from India? You’ve got options! With flights from 16 Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, and airlines like IndiGo, Air India, Scoot, and Singapore Airlines operating 280 weekly flights, the skies are buzzing.
And it doesn’t stop there—Changi Airport is planning to connect to even more Indian cities soon, like Jaipur, Lucknow, Surat, and Chandigarh.
The growth isn't surprising, given Changi’s ongoing expansion. By March 2025, the airport is expected to handle over 7,400 weekly flights from 100 airlines flying to 160+ cities across 49 countries. New routes like Phu Quoc (Vietnam), Dali (China), and soon-to-launch Vienna (Austria) are keeping things exciting for globetrotters.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Changi Airport was just crowned the World's Best Airport 2025 at the Skytrax Awards in Madrid—its record 13th win!
Changi Airport Group CEO Yam Kum Weng said, “It’s an honour to receive this recognition. As air travel grows, we look forward to welcoming more passengers to experience the magic of Changi.”
