According to preliminary reports from the police, the bus was en route from Bhavnagar to Haridwar, via Mathura. Tragedy struck as the bus unexpectedly broke down on the Bharatpur-Agra highway in the early morning hours. Passengers, including the driver and conductor, disembarked from the bus to address the mechanical issue.
