On Friday, according to a statement, the board engaged Chief Aviation Advisors LLC, headed by veteran expert Captain John Illson, to carry out a thorough root-cause analysis of the operational breakdowns that began on December 2. The expert is expected to start the review immediately and will submit a comprehensive report to the board once the assessment is complete.

Airline sources confirmed that the decision was taken after significant service disruptions across IndiGo’s network, which have drawn public scrutiny and impacted thousands of passengers.
