Chandigarh Airport Will Remain Closed From May 12 To May 31

International Airport of Chandigarh will remain shut till May 31 to carry out runway expansion and repairs...

International Airport of Chandigarh will remain shut till May 31 to carry out runway expansion and repairs, officials said. Over 100,000 passengers will be affected by this 20-day closure during the summer vacation season.

The runway repair involves improvements and extension of runway end from the existing 9,000 to 10,400 feet. With this expansion, wide-bodied aircraft will start operating that will help air carriers to connect Chandigarh with destinations in Europe, the US, and Many more countries.
