On Monday, Raghav Chadha, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP, made headlines after a video surfaced of him working as a ‘Blinkit’ delivery agent for a day. He was dressed in the platform’s signature yellow uniform and helmet. He was seen riding pillion with a delivery partner to fulfil orders across the city. The aim was to experience the "grassroots reality" of India’s booming quick-commerce sector.

Chadha shared the video on X (formerly Twitter) with a caption: “Away from boardrooms, at the grassroots. I lived their day.”

He argued that ultra-fast delivery targets put immense pressure on riders by forcing them to take life-threatening risks on the road.

Chadha has previously raised this issue in the Rajya Sabha; he said that delivery partners "are not robots" and deserve dignity and protection. By stepping into their shoes, the lawmaker sought to highlight the human cost behind consumer convenience.

His advocacy comes amid growing national debate over the labour rights of millions of workers in India’s fast-evolving gig economy.
