PM Modi Oman Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Oman in the coming days, and the Ambassador of Oman to India, Issa Saleh Abdullah, called the visit “important” from different aspects. 

Speaking to news agency ANI, Ambassador of Oman to India, Issa Saleh Abdullah, said, "This is a very important visit, and it does come at a very interesting time. It's a year where we celebrate 70 years of the establishment of the diplomatic relationship, which comes 2 years after the visit of His Majesty. So, I think this is very important from different aspects..." 

PM Modi and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal are likely to travel to Oman next week to sign a “free trade agreement,” according to the Hindu, which reported citing sources who are part of the delegation.

Meanwhile, India’s total exports hit an all-time high of US$825.25 billion in 2024–25, reflecting a 6.05% annual growth, according to an official release by the Ministry of Commerce. 

The momentum, it said, continued into the new fiscal year, with exports rising to US$ 418.91 billion during April–September 2025, a 5.86% increase over the same period last year.
