Fire Safety Inspections Delhi: The Delhi Fire Service has directed all Divisional Officers (DOs) and Assistant Divisional Officers (ADOs) to undertake immediate and thorough fire safety inspections of public assembly premises, including restaurants, hotels, and clubs, ahead of the upcoming festive season.
The order, dated 10 December, has been issued in view of the recent restaurant fire incident in Goa that reportedly killed 25 people.
“The inspecting officers are to verify the functional status of building bylaws pertaining to fire prevention and fire safety measures as specified under Rule 33 of the Delhi Fire Service Rules, 2010. The status report on the compliance of the order shall be submitted to the Principal Director’s office through the proper channel,” the order states.
