The accused, identified as 32-year-old Balwinder Singh, is reported to have fired the airgun at close range, targeting the father’s eye. While airguns are typically considered non-lethal, the pellet struck the victim in a way that caused significant pain and injury to his eye. Fortunately, doctors have assessed that the injury is not severe, and they expect a full recovery.
Police investigations indicate that Singh was previously in a relationship with the victim’s daughter, who has since married another man and moved to the United States. Singh’s frustration over her marriage to someone else is believed to have led to the attack.
