The Court emphasizes potential security risks associated with media engagement

NEW-DELHI: A Delhi court, presided over by Special Judge M.K. Nagpal, instructed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh on Tuesday not to engage with the media during his appearance in the ongoing money laundering case related to an alleged excise scam. The judge conveyed concern that such interactions could compromise security and potentially lead to related issues.

Special Judge Nagpal, addressing reporters before Sanjay Singh's court appearance, emphasized the security implications and urged journalists not to pose any questions to the accused during their courtroom presentations.

The judge highlighted the potential security implications of engaging with the media, underscoring the need to prioritize security in such cases. Sanjay Singh, while addressing reporters prior to his appearance, claimed the presence of honest individuals within their ranks and contrasted them with what he described as dishonest figures associated with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Notably, Sanjay Singh, an AAP MP, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on October 4 in connection with an ongoing money laundering investigation linked to the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 case.
