The syllabus for the next academic year in educational institutions may be reduced in view of the situation created by the corona virus.

New Delhi: The syllabus for the next academic year in educational institutions may be reduced in view of the situation created by the corona virus. There may also be a reduction in study time.

This information was given by Human Resources Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' in a tweet. He said that in view of the present situation and after receiving suggestions from a large number of teachers and parents, consideration was being given to reduce the syllabus and study time in the next academic year.

He said that suggestions could be sent through MHRD or his personal Twitter and Facebook page. He said that suggestions would be taken into consideration before taking any decision.

The HRD ministry had on Monday discussed with the states and stakeholders about opening the school. In the meeting Secretary School Education, Anita Karwal, State Education Secretaries discussed the safety of students etc.

According to ministry officials, the states have suggested action plans to hold classes at different stages, remove attendance registers, call students one day apart and avoid any accidents.

PhotoPhotoThe CBSE has given a big relief to the students in view of the situation created due to the corona virus epidemic. CBSE 10th and 12th Board Examinations have also been announced. These exams will be held from 1st July to 15th July.

Students who have moved to their home districts due to the Corona epidemic will now be able to appear in the exams in those districts. Examination centres have also been set up in their districts to provide relief to these students.
