Tragic Family argument Ends in Murder: Hyderabad Industrialist put to death by Grandson latest news: In a shocking turn of events, an 86-year-old industrialist, V C Janardhan Rao, chairman and managing director of the Veljan Group, was allegedly murdered by his grandson, K Kirti Teja, over a property dispute. The incident occurred on the night of February 6 at Rao's residence in Somajiguda, Hyderabad.
According to police reports, Teja, who is around 28 years old, attacked his grandfather with a knife, inflicting multiple stab wounds that led to Rao's immediate death. In a horrifying twist, Teja also stabbed his mother when she tried to intervene, causing her injuries and necessitating hospitalization. Teja was arrested on Saturday, and a murder case has been registered against him.
The quarrel started when Teja and his mother went to visit Rao's house. When his mother went inside to prepare coffee, Teja and Rao began arguing over the distribution of property. Accusing his grandfather of always being indifferent to him since he was a child and thus refusing to distribute the property, the young man had just returned from the United States after earning his master's degree.
The tragic incident has left the family and the community in shock. Veljan Group, established in 1965, is known for its expertise in shipbuilding, energy, mobile, and industrial segments. Janardhan Rao's contributions to these sectors were well-recognized, making his death all the more poignant.
