Delhi Firecrackers Ban to Combat Air Pollution Latest News Today: In an effort to curb rising air pollution during the winter months, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai announced on Monday that the AAP government has imposed a ban on the production, sale, and use of firecrackers in the national capital until January 1, 2025.

"The ban on production, storage, sale, and use of firecrackers will remain in effect until January 1, 2025," said Rai in a statement. He further clarified that the ban also extends to the online sale and delivery of firecrackers.

To ensure strict enforcement of the ban, an action plan will be developed in coordination with the Delhi Police, the Delhi Pollution Control Committee, and the Revenue Department.

This ban is part of Delhi's larger winter action plan, which consists of 21 key focus areas aimed at controlling air pollution during the colder months.
