Huma Qureshi’s Cousin Brother Asif Qureshi Murderd in Delhi’s Nizamuddin over Parking Dispute News:
Actress Huma Qureshi’s cousin brother, Asif Qureshi, was murdered in Jangpura Bhogal Bazaar Lane in Delhi’s Niazmuddin area late on Thursday night, reportedly after a parking dispute near his residence.
The police have arrested two teenage brothers in connection with the murder case, identified as Ujjwal (19) and Gautam (18), who lived in the neighborhood, according to a report by Republic Bharat.
The wife of the deceased, speaking to IANS, a news agency, alleged that the murder was deliberate and was carried out following a conspiracy.
Saleem Qureshi, the father of actress Huma Qureshi, speaking to reporters, said, “Two men parked a scooter in front of the house. Asif asked them to move it aside and not block the entrance.”
“This led to a verbal altercation that turned physical. They were two, together they killed my nephew.”
The 38-year-old victim, Asif Qureshi, was allegedly attacked with a sharp object at around 11:00 PM. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The CCTV footage from the incident has surfaced, showing the physical altercation that occurred during the time of the incident.
The deceased's wife claimed that there were altercations between the victim and the accused previously, too. She alleged that the two accused used to abuse him without any provocation and even threatened to kill him.
A relative of the deceased, speaking to IANS, also claimed that last year in November, the accused and their family allegedly stormed into the victim’s house with a big stone and attempted to “kill him”.
On the fateful night of August 7, the same female relative said that there was a scooty parked in front of the victim’s house. When the victim asked them to move the scooty aside, the accused started verbally abusing him. The victim told them not to use abusive language, and that’s when the older brother allegedly said, “wait, mein abhi aata hun”. Next, both the accused charged at him, and their family members too allegedly got involved.
Then the elder brother attacked Asif with what is described as an iron object near the victim’s throat, causing him to bleed.
Investigations are underway.
