NEW-DELHI: In a significant legal development, India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) saw its appeal against the bail of British national Jagtar Singh alias Jaggi Johal rejected by the Supreme Court of India (SCI) today. Jagtar Singh Jaggi Johal's defense counsel and Punjab Lawyers Chairman, Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur, confirmed that the NIA's plea to revoke Jaggi Johal's bail in case number RC/24/2017/NIA had been dismissed.

Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur disclosed that the argument before the Supreme Court was presented by Senior Advocate R. Basant, a retired Justice of the Kerala High Court. The Court's ruling has far-reaching implications, marking a pivotal moment in Jagtar Singh Jaggi Johal's legal battle. Jaggi Johal, a British national, has been incarcerated in Tihar Jail since 2017.
