The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a major advisory regarding significant traffic restrictions on New Rohtak Road to inform commuters that vehicle movement will remain affected on this crucial stretch until January 31, 2026. This is due to ongoing underground cabling maintenance and upgrading work being carried out in the area.

The work is being executed by Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited. The construction has occupied two lanes on the route, leading to heavy congestion and slow vehicle movement. The most affected area is the stretch from Kamal T-Point towards Liberty Cinema, heading in the direction of Paharganj.

According to investigative details shared by the Hindustan Times, the traffic police have urged motorists to avoid the Anand Parbat and New Rohtak Road stretches to prevent major delays. For those travelling toward Paharganj or New Delhi, the advisory suggests taking a left from Kamal T-Point toward Sarai Rohilla, followed by a right on Veer Banda Bairagi Marg via Rani Jhansi Road.

The report further states that commuters travelling from Shastri Nagar Chowk toward Liberty Cinema should avoid Swami Narayan Marg and instead opt for Rani Jhansi Road. Authorities have deployed additional personnel at key intersections to manage the flow and have asked motorists to remain patient. This long-term restriction is expected to cause daily issues for those entering Central Delhi from the western outskirts.
