Light to moderate rains accompanied with thunderstorm occurred at isolated places over western parts of Uttar Pradesh today, while the eastern parts of the state remained dry, the Meteorological (MeT) department said. It forecast rain, thunderstorm, and dust storm at a few places in the state over the next couple of days. Fatehgarh was the hottest place in the state recording the maximum temperature of 43.7 degrees Celsius.
