Pakistani National Detained Within Indian Territory Along Border Fence latest news: During a heightened alert operation along the India-Pakistan border, security personnel detained a Pakistani national who was caught entering Indian territory during the night of May 3, 2025.
The incident was about 11:10 PM when CT Sandeep Ghosh, deployed at Sahapur Forward Border Outpost (BOP), noticed suspicious activity near Falku Nala, about 250 meters within Indian territory. Acting quickly, Ghosh gave the warning to his command, and an immediate response was initiated by the Quick Reaction Team (QRT) and Inspector 'G'.
The suspect was cornered and apprehended by the team. Later, the suspect was found to be Husnain, a local of Gujranwala, Pakistan, at around 11:45 PM, somewhere between the boundary fence and the International Boundary (IB). The suspect was immediately shifted to BOP Dariya Mansoor for initial questioning.
Who is the suspect?
Husnain, age 2000, was studied up to class eighth at a government school in Gujranwala, Pakistan. On the day he was apprehended, he wore a brown salwar-kurta with white rubber slippers. Among items seized from his possession were PKR 40 in Pakistani currency notes and a Pakistan National Identity Card.
Security Response & Investigation Underway
After his arrest, intelligence agencies were promptly informed. The Frontier Guard Team (FGT) Gurdaspur started questioning the accused, while more investigations will uncover his motives and any possible security risks.
With tensions still running high along the border, Indian security forces remain on high alert against possible security vulnerabilities, keeping the country safe and secure.
