5 Army Soldiers Martyred in Firing with Terrorists at Rajouri

In view of security, internet service has been suspended in the district

RAJOURI: At least five army jawans were martyred during the encounter between security forces and terrorists in Rajouri of Jammu and Kashmir. According to North Command, In view of security, internet service has been suspended in the district.

The army said in a statement that this incident took place when the army team was conducting a search operation in the forest area on the edge of Rajouri sector. The team is working on intelligence to trace a group of terrorists who attacked an army truck in Tota Gali area  in Jammu region on Tuesday. The search team of the army had an encounter with the terrorists at 7:30 am on Friday. Meanwhile, firing took place from both sides. After this, the terrorists exploded to escape. Additional teams from nearby areas were dispatched to the site.

Two soldiers were killed and four others were seriously injured in the blast. As per the update, three injured jawans have also died during the treatment in the hospital.
