While official figures confirm 30 deaths, Kharge extended his condolences to the "thousands" he believes perished.

- Several BJP MPs from the tribal community : took a stand by filing a breach of privilege notice against Congress parliamentary party leader Sonia Gandhi. They accused her of using “derogatory and slanderous” remarks against President Droupadi Murmu, highlighting the seriousness of the issue.

- Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju did not hold back as he criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Rijiju called out Gandhi for making "baseless claims" against the Election Commission, viewing it as an excuse to justify their party’s recent electoral loss.

- The Opposition MPs were vocal about their disapproval of the recently presented Union Budget 2025. They argued that the budget failed to address the pressing issue of inflation, which they believe is crucial for economic stability.
