New Delhi: In a landmark announcement during an interaction with Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the Waves Movement, an ambitious initiative to position India as the center of the global creative industry. The announcement underscores India’s growing influence in arts, culture, and entertainment on the global stage.

The Waves Movement aims to attract international artists, filmmakers, musicians, and other creative professionals to collaborate with Indian talent and showcase their work within the country.

The initiative was inspired by a thought-provoking comment from Diljit Dosanjh during the interaction. Dosanjh emphasized that while countries like the United States host large-scale music festivals and creative events, India has the potential to create something far grander.
