The harrowing incident was witnessed in a viral video doing the rounds on social media, in which the terrifying moment when the pet, left tied to its owner's leash, was dragged inches from the train wheels.

The man, wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans, is seen in the video trying to board the moving train close to bogie number 193751. Holding onto the door handle, his dog tries to keep up before fatally falling into the space between the train and the rails. The eyewitnesses were left stunned as the train kept moving while the owner desperately looked for his pet. News reports quoting unconfirmed sources state that the dog survived miraculously, although confirmation is yet to come. The location and time of the accident are unknown.
