A tragic incident occurred in the Lonavala area of Pune on Sunday.

Pune Family Drowned in Lonavala Waterfall Video news: A tragic incident occurred in the Lonavala area of Pune on Sunday. Four children and a woman drowned in a waterfall near Bhushi Dam. A heartbreaking video of the incident, showing people being swept away by the fast-moving water, is circulating widely.

According to the police, 16-17 members of a family from Syed Nagar had rented a private bus for a picnic to a tourist spot near Lonavala during the rains. Inspector Suhas Jagtap of Lonavala Police Station reported that around 10 people were carried away by a strong current around 12:30 pm, while some managed to escape.

Other individuals present at the scene rescued a young girl. The police identified the deceased as Shahista Liaqat Ansari, Amima Adil Ansari, and Umra Adil Ansari. 

The search team recovered their bodies from the lower stream of the reservoir. The official added that the search is ongoing for the bodies of Adnan Sabahat Ansari and Maria Aqeel Ansari.
