Central Govt Bans 14 Messenger Applications

SRINAGAR: The central government has taken a big step to curb terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir. The central government has blocked 14 mobile messenger applications used as communication platforms by militants in Pakistan to operate their network in Jammu and Kashmir.

These apps include Crypvisor, Enigma, SafeSwiss, Vikram, MediaFire, Browser, BeeChat, Nandbox, Conion, IMO, Element, Second Line, Jangi and Threma.

According to intelligence reports, the militants were using these apps to communicate with their supporters and On Ground Workers (OGWs) in Kashmir. It is noteworthy that action on mobile applications that pose a threat to the security of the country is not a new thing. Even before this, the central government has banned many Chinese apps.
