Minister was seen a day earlier responding in a manner unbecoming of a public servant when NDTV reporter questioned him about the condition
Madhya Pradesh News: Following massive outrage over his indifference to a matter of life and death, and with the lives of hundreds at stake, Madhya Pradesh minister Kailash Vijayvargiya on Thursday finally met the families of people affected after consuming contaminated water in the Bhagirathpura area of Indore, a city ironically known nationwide for its cleanliness.
After meeting the families, the minister, while speaking to the media, said that around 198 people have been hospitalised after consuming contaminated water. He claimed that no one was in the danger zone.
Speaking about the death toll due to the contaminated water, the minister stated, “As per officials, four people have died, but the people here have said that nine people have lost their lives. We will look into it and offer compensation...”
The minister was seen a day earlier responding in a manner unbecoming of a public servant when an NDTV reporter questioned him about the condition of the affected people, deaths in the area, and compensation. He was also seen using abusive language during the interaction.
