IRCTC Website Experiences Another Outage, Users Express Frustration

Despite repeated occurrences, the Indian Railways has yet to provide an explanation or address the recurring issues.

IRCTC Website Down, Technical Outage Latest News Today: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website faced another outage today, marking its third failure in December. The incident occurred during the peak time of Tatkal ticket booking, leaving thousands of users stranded and unable to secure train reservations.

Users attempting to access the platform were met with a message indicating that "maintenance work is underway," and booking services would be unavailable for at least an hour. This technical glitch comes at a time when many travelers are making New Year plans, amplifying their frustration.

Earlier this month, on December 9, a similar crash left the website inoperative for over two hours, causing widespread inconvenience. Despite repeated occurrences, the Indian Railways has yet to provide an explanation or address the recurring issues.

The outage has sparked anger among passengers, with many taking to social media to express their dissatisfaction. A traveler from Delhi tweeted, "It’s peak travel season, and IRCTC crashes again. Why can’t these issues be resolved permanently?"

With today’s disruption, passengers are left wondering if the IRCTC will take steps to improve its platform's stability and ensure smoother operations during high-traffic periods. Until then, many are left grappling with unreliable services during crucial booking times.
