Haryana CM Saini Launches AI Portal; Citizens Can Shape Budget
On Tuesday, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched the state’s AI-based “Haryana Budget Janbhagidari” portal to bring citizens directly into the budget preparation process. The launch took place at a pre-budget session in Gurugram as part of the Haryana Vision 2047 roadmap to deepen participatory governance and transparency. According to government sources, the portal aims to make the budget process more inclusive.
The new portal enables people to submit suggestions in Haryanvi, Hindi, and English, ensuring broad-based access for residents from diverse backgrounds. “Through this platform, citizens, experts, and stakeholders will be able to share practical suggestions and help make the budget-making process more open, continuous, and dialogue-driven,” he said during the session, according to officials present.
Saini described the initiative as a reflection of the government’s commitment to transparency and citizen participation in policymaking. He is holding a series of meetings with stakeholders in Gurugram to gather live feedback on proposals and priorities ahead of the formal budget presentation, government sources said.
Saini said public and expert inputs have already generated important suggestions on innovation, employment, and knowledge-based development, and expressed confidence that the state will advance rapidly in the coming years, the Chief Minister’s office added. He observed that Haryana has become a focal point as a food producer, employment generator, and centre of innovation.
The Chief Minister also praised the people of Haryana, noting the dual role of farmers as food providers and the state’s youth as vigilant defenders of the nation, reinforcing a distinct identity in agriculture, sports, and industry, officials reported.
