Haryana CM Outlines Vision 2047 to Drive State's Growth
During a pre-budget workshop held at Gurugram University on Tuesday, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini asserted that the state is set to become the "growth engine of Developed India-2047". The Chief Minister emphasized that the government is implementing systematic plans to ensure Haryana’s contributions align effectively with national interests.
Saini revealed that the "Haryana Vision Document–2047" was developed following extensive consultations, in-depth studies, and the active participation of various experts. The workshop served as a platform to gather suggestions for the 2026-27 budget from key stakeholders in the industry, health, information technology, and education sectors.
The Chief Minister highlighted in his address that the state has established a "Department of Future" to specifically address and respond to emerging global changes. He added that departmental strategies must prioritise measurable outcomes over mere activities.
The Vision Document is built upon six strategic themes: finance and security; education, skills, and employability; health and nutrition; agriculture, food security, and environment; infrastructure; and regional development alongside local self-governance.
Saini confirmed that the upcoming 2026-27 budget will be fully aligned with these core themes to drive sustainable progress. The event also featured sector-wise presentations by senior officers and was attended by NITI Aayog member Ramesh Chand. This ambitious vision aims to transform Haryana into a modern economic powerhouse, ensuring its growth trajectory supports the broader goal of a developed nation by the centenary of India’s independence.
