Weather Update Today: Minimum temperatures stayed above normal

Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula - Tricity - Hailstorm Weather Update and Rainfall Today: After cold day conditions and dense fog across North India, the Tricity — Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula — witnessed hailstorm and heavy rain in most parts of Punjab and Haryana. 

In the meanwhile, Chandigarh, Zirakpur, Kharar, Mohali, and Panchkula witnessed heavy rainfall and hailstorms besides the minimum temperatures stayed above normal on Thursday.

Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Patiala, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Faridkot, and Mohali among the other places in Punjab received heavy rain, as per the India Meteorological Department. Similarly, Ambala, Hisar, Karnal, Rohtak, and Bhiwani in Haryana received heavy rainfall.

According to information, Amritsar recorded a minimum temperature of 9.3 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average. On the other hand, Ludhiana and Patiala registered 12.4 degrees Celsius each.

Pathankot, Bathinda, Gurdaspur, and Faridkot recorded a minimum temperature of 10.4 degrees Celsius, 11.2 degrees Celsius, 10.3 degrees Celsius, and 10.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.

In Haryana, Ambala and Hisar recorded minimum temperatures at 11.8 degrees Celsius and 11.2 degrees Celsius, respectively, up to four degrees above normal while the minimum temperature in Chandigarh was at 12.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal.
