FASTag Annual Pass For Private Vehicles Price, Validity Latest News Today: In a major relief for highway commuters, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has announced the launch of a FASTag-based Annual Pass for private vehicles, effective from August 15, 2025.

Priced at Rs 3,000, the Annual Pass will allow private vehicle owners, cars, jeeps, and vans, to make up to 200 trips across National Highways within one year of activation. The pass is aimed at simplifying toll payments and reducing congestion at toll plazas nationwide.

“This reform addresses long-standing complaints about tolls being collected at short distances and delays at plazas,” Gadkari stated. “Our goal is to ensure smooth, fast, and economical travel.”

The pass will be activated through the Rajmarg Yatra App, as well as the official portals of NHAI and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). It is not applicable for commercial vehicles.

Officials say this initiative will drastically cut down waiting times, end disputes over toll charges, and enhance the overall experience for private road users.
