New Delhi: A third phase of lockdown is underway across the country to prevent corona virus. In such cases, it is not easy to go out to the ATM to withdraw cash.
To address this problem, Paytm Payments Bank has introduced in-house cash facility for senior citizens and the disabled so that they do not have to leave their homes during the epidemic.
PaytmWith the help of this new service they can send request for withdrawal to their Paytm Payments Bank and accordingly the amount will be delivered to their home.
Any senior citizen who has a savings account in the bank can fill in their amount on the Requests tab in the app and then have to submit it. The bank executive will deliver your money to your home address within two days. You can get Rs 1000 and maximum Rs 5000.
According to the bank, the purpose of this cash at home facility is to make the customers feel more comfortable. The bank had recently launched Director Benefits Transfer (DBT) facility which allows customers to transfer the benefits of more than 400 government subsidies directly to their PPBL Savings Account.
File PhotoAccording to the bank, it hopes that the facility will alleviate the hassle of customers going to the bank or ATM and help them stay at home in the lockdown. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has come up with a new model of banks called Payment Bank. Payment Bank, as the name suggests is a payment bank used by customers to pay for available services online.
Paytm Payment Bank also pays interest at the rate of 4% per annum on your deposit. Payment Bank work is mostly digitally i.e. online.
