Petrol and Diesel Price in Punjab: Setback For Common People As Fuel Rates Rise

VAT has been increased by 61 paise on petrol and 92 paise on diesel, respectively.

Petrol and Diesel Price in Punjab Latest News Today: In a major development, the rates of petrol and diesel have become slightly expensive in Punjab as the state government has increased the VAT on fuels.

According to the information, the value-added tax (VAT) has been increased by 61 paise on petrol and 92 paise on diesel, respectively. This adjustment comes as part of the state government's efforts to balance its budget and manage revenue streams.

While giving the information, Punjab's Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that over Rs 392 crore will be collected with the increased VAT on fuels.
