New Delhi: The first day of May is big news for the common man during the nationwide lockdown. The country's oil marketing companies (HPCL, BPCL, IOC) have announced a reduction in the price of non-subsidized LPG cylinders.

LockdownLockdownIn Delhi, a 14.2 kg non-subsidized cylinder is cheaper by Rs 162.5 per cylinder. The new price is now at Rs 581.50. At the same time, the price of 19 kg cylinder has been reduced by Rs 256 to Rs 1029.50.

PhotoPhotoIt also rose to Rs 584.50 in Kolkata, Rs 579.00 in Mumbai and Rs 569.50 in Chennai from Rs 774.50, Rs 714.50 and Rs 761.50 respectively.

India's largest fuel retailer Indian Oil Corp. Ltd (IOC) said it has reported a 20% spike in sales in April.
