CM Nitish Kumar Inaugurates Patna–Raghopur Link of Ganga Bridge Project latest news: Patna, CM Nitish Kumar today inaugurated the connectivity of Patna to Raghopur of Kacchi Dargah-Bidupur 6 lane Ganga Bridge Project by cutting the ribbon and unveiling the stone plaque. After the inauguration, the Chief Minister inspected the newly constructed 6 lane Ganga Bridge till Raghopur. On reaching Raghopur, the people present there gave a grand welcome to the Chief Minister by clapping and raising slogans of Zindabad. The villagers expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the construction of this bridge and praised him profusely. Accepting the greetings of the people, the Chief Minister said that we are continuously working in the interest of you people and will continue to do whatever we can for the development of this area.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister said that today the connectivity of Patna to Raghopur of Kacchi Dargah-Bidupur 6 lane Ganga Bridge Project has been inaugurated. We were continuously working for the construction of this 6 lane Ganga Bridge.  He regularly inspected the construction work and directed the officials to complete the construction of the bridge soon. It is a matter of happiness that now this dream has come true. The Chief Minister directed the officials to complete the remaining work of the Kacchi Dargah-Bidupur 6 lane Ganga Bridge project at a fast pace.

The Chief Minister said that with the inauguration of Kacchi Dargah Bidupur 6 lane Ganga Bridge, the people of Raghopur Diara region will get road connectivity with the capital Patna throughout the year. Agriculture, industry and other businesses will develop rapidly in this area. Patients will also get a lot of convenience in case of emergency medical treatment. He said that the traffic load on Mahatma Gandhi Setu has also reduced and people have got another alternative route for connectivity between North Bihar and South Bihar, which has made movement more smooth. He said that people will also get relief from the traffic jam in Patna city. With the construction of this bridge, people will be able to travel easily to various places in North Bihar from outside Patna city. People of the eastern region of Patna will also get the benefit of smooth traffic.  He said that we are making transportation easy by continuously constructing quality roads and bridges in the state.

After this, the Chief Minister inspected the under construction link road connecting the Kacchi Dargah Bidupur 6 lane Ganga Bridge to JP Ganga Path in Didarganj. During this, he said that the JP Gangapath project has been completed till Didarganj. Complete the remaining work expeditiously in one month to restore direct connectivity of vehicles coming and going from JP Gangapath to the Kacchi Dargah Bidupur 6 lane Ganga Bridge.

It is known that a 6 lane green field bridge project of total length of 19.76 km is being constructed on the Ganga River between Kacchi Dargah located on National Highway No. 30 under Patna district and Bidupur located on National Highway No. 103 under Vaishali district.  Under this, a 9.76 km long bridge and 10 km long approach roads are to be constructed. The total cost of this project is Rs 4,988 crore.

In the first phase, the work from Kachchi Dargah, Patna to Raghopur Diara, Vaishali (total length 4.57 km) has been completed. With the completion of this work, the people of Raghopur Diara region will get road connectivity with the capital Patna for the whole year. Earlier, transportation in Raghopur area was possible only by boat. In the second phase, Hajipur-Mahanar road to Chaksikandar and in the third phase, Hajipur-Mahanar road is being constructed from Raghopur Diara. So far, the current progress of the project is 85 percent and the remaining work is being completed rapidly.

 During the program, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Speaker of Bihar Legislative Assembly Mr. Nand Kishore Yadav, Water Resources cum Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Road Construction Minister Nitin Naveen, Legislative Councilor Ravindra Prasad Singh, former MLA Satish Kumar, other public representatives, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Amritlal Meena, Additional Chief Secretary of Road Construction Department Mihir Kumar Singh, Secretary to Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, Commissioner of Patna Division Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Commissioner of Tirhut Division Mr. Rajkumar, Chairman of Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited Shirshat Kapil Ashok, District Magistrate of Patna Dr. Tyagarajan S.M., District Magistrate of Vaishali Mrs. Varsha Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police of Tirhut Range Chandan Kumar Kushwaha, Senior Superintendent of Police of Patna Kartikeya K. Sharma, Superintendent of Police of Vaishali Lalit Mohan Sharma, other senior officers, former General Secretary of State Citizens Council Mr. Arvind Kumar and other dignitaries were present.
