Ahead of PM Modi’s Bihar Visit, Tejashwi Yadav Raises 12 Scathing Questions on NDA’s 20-Year Rule

Tejashwi Yadav Raises questions ahead PM Modi’s Bihar Visit latest news: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, early Friday morning, posed 12 pointed questions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, just ahead of the latter’s visit to Bihar today.
He expressed hope that the PM would respond to the questions in his speech during the visit.

In his first question to the PM, Tejashwi referred to the previous elections and stated that “you shattered all records by addressing over 200 rallies in Bihar, dripping with sweetened falsehoods meant to mislead the people.”
He requested the PM to “review and analyze” his past speeches and promises, and said that “hearing them” PM Modi “will feel so embarrassed” that he “won’t be able to face” himself. He asked the PM, “Will you accept this request?”

Next, he asked, “Will you once again repeat the same old foundation-laying ceremonies, inaugurations, and project launches that have been falsely announced since 2015?”

PM Modi is scheduled to visit Siwan in Bihar on June 20 and lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple development projects around 12 noon. He will also address the gathering on the occasion, according to the PMO.

Next, RJD leader Tejashwi asked a critical question,“Will you clarify to the people of Bihar why, despite 20 years of NDA rule in the state and 11 years at the Centre, your own NITI Aayog and other central agencies rank Bihar at the bottom in poverty, unemployment, per capita income, investment, literacy, and industrialization?”

According to a NITI Aayog report cited by India Today on January 17, 2024, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Meghalaya had the highest share of the multidimensionally poor population in 2019–2021.
The report stated that Bihar, Meghalaya, and Jharkhand remain the states with the highest number of poor people.
It also mentioned that Bihar pulled around 7% of its population out of multidimensional poverty between 2019–21 and 2022–23.
In his fourth question, the RJD leader asked, “Will you inform the people of Saran division that Shri Lalu Prasad Yadav established numerous development projects here, including JP University and three major railway factories? That the locomotive factory he set up in Mairwa now even exports engines abroad?”

He also questioned whether PM Modi would “tell Biharis that under 20 years of NDA rule, over 65,000 innocent people have been murdered and more than 25,000 girls have been raped?”
He asked whether the PM would be “ashamed to present this 'achievement' of the NDA's 'demonic rule,' or will you conveniently forget it?”

He went on to ask whether the PM would “inform the nation of the current unconscious condition of Bihar CM Shri Nitish Kumar, in the same manner you used to describe former Odisha CM Shri Naveen Patnaik?”
Then he asked if the PM would honor the “sons-in-law” of your alliance nominated under the NDA (National Damad Association) in today’s rally?

In his eighth question directed at the PM, Yadav asked whether he would “dare to condemn the lawlessness in Bihar that allows shootings outside the CM’s residence and the Raj Bhavan, or will you again ignore 20 years of governance failure and blame the opposition—perhaps even invoking the Ramayana or Mahabharata eras?”
The next question focused on scams in the state. He asked whether the PM would “list out the 100+ scams worth over ₹2 lakh crore that happened during 20 years of NDA rule?”
Adding, “Let's not forget—you yourself once mentioned 33 scams under Nitish Kumar from your own mouth.”

“Will you speak on crucial and burning issues like poverty, unemployment, inflation, corruption, migration, paper leaks, and domicile policy?” Yadav questioned.
He also accused the NDA government of harassing employees in the state to mobilize crowds for the PM’s rally in the scorching heat.

He questioned, “Are you unaware that ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers/helpers, Jeevika didis, Vikas Mitras, education volunteers, teachers, and others are being pressured to bring people at their own expense?”
“How can poor workers afford transport on such meager wages? Why are they being asked to provide vehicle numbers and driver details, causing them mental and financial stress?”

The RJD leader concluded his series of questions by finally asking the PM whether he would “explain why, during Operation Sindoor, our brave Indian Army—ready to teach a stern lesson to terrorists and their Pakistani handlers—was halted due to a ceasefire announced by Trump? Why did Trump make the announcement before you? Who is he to interfere in our matters?”

According to the PMO, the Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the new Vaishali–Deoria railway line project and flag off a new train service on this route.

He will also flag off the Vande Bharat Express between Patliputra and Gorakhpur via Muzaffarpur and Bettiah.
Additionally, he will flag off a state-of-the-art locomotive built at the Marhowra Plant.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate six Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) under the Namami Gange project for the conservation and rejuvenation of the river Ganga. These projects are worth more than ₹1,800 crore.

After his Bihar visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to visit Bhubaneswar in Odisha.
