Bihar Elections: Janshakti Janta Dal Chief Tej Pratap Yadav Files Nomination with Family Blessings: Janshakti Janta Dal Chief Tej Pratap Yadav on Thursday afternoon filed his nomination from the Mahua assembly constituency in Bihar.
Speaking to the media, Tej Pratap Yadav said, “I have moved ahead with the blessings of my grandmother and my parents. On this auspicious occasion, when I had to file my nomination, I brought my grandmother with me. She continues to live in our hearts.”
He added, “The people of Mahua will support whoever works for them. I have worked to make Mahua a district and to create employment opportunities for the youth.”
Bihar will go to the polls in two phases on November 6 (for 121 seats) and November 11 (for 122 seats), with the counting of votes scheduled for 14th November.

The term of the current Bihar Legislative Assembly ends on November 22, 2025. ECI in a press conference on October 5 stated that there are 243 general constituencies in Bihar, 2 reserved for STs, and 38 for SCs.
Bihar has a total of 7.42 crore voters, including 3.92 crore men and 3.5 crore women. Around 14 lakh are first-time voters, and 14,000 voters are over 100 years old. The state will have 90,712 polling stations.
