Lawyer Shot Dead in Patna, Bihar Latest News: In a tragic incident on Sunday, a lawyer was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Patna, Bihar, police said.

The victim, identified as Jitendra Mahato, succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

Police stated that the deceased had not been practicing law for the past two years.

SP Patna East, Parichay Kumar, told ANI, “Criminals shot a person named Jitendra Mahato. He was taken to the hospital for treatment, where he died. The family said that he used to come here every day to drink tea. Today, he came here to drink tea and was shot while returning.”Three bullet shells have been recovered from the spot.

SP Parichay Kumar added that the identities and motives of the attackers are under investigation, and that all nearby CCTV cameras are being examined.

“The case is being investigated from every angle. He was a lawyer but had not been practising for the last two years,” the SP further stated.
