Proud Moment for Maa Boli: 12 Books by Baljinder Mann Now on Bharatvani Portal

In a significant achievement for Punjabi literature, twelve books by noted children's writer and editor Baljinder Mann have been selected for the Government of India’s Bharatvani portal. The books were uploaded in PDF format by the Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru, an institution under the Ministry of Education.

Baljinder Mann, who has been editing the monthly Punjabi children’s magazine Nikkian Karumbalan since 1995, has a literary career spanning over 25 original books and 35 edited works. Out of his 18 books specifically written for children, 12 were chosen for this national digital platform. The featured titles include Kudarti God Vich, Maan Jiha Laad, Tripura Darshan, Sade Shubh Karman, Sade Lok Khed-Sade Reeti Rivaj, and Sada Samvidhan Ate Baal Adhikaar.

The selection has been hailed by writers and cultural figures as a proud moment for the Punjabi language. Mann’s work is known for its focus on children’s literature, sports and cultural activities.

The presence of these books on the Bharatvani portal ensures that his contributions to Punjabi literature are now accessible to a wider digital audience. This recognition follows decades of Mann's consistent efforts to nurture young readers through his original writing and his long-standing role at the Jalandhar-based magazine Nikkian Karumbalan.
