The National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, released its election manifesto "Sankalp Patra" in Patna. Its main components include Employment Generation, Women Empowerment, Infrastructure Development, Digital and Agricultural Growth.PM unveiled the manifesto and shared its highlights to make Bihar's aspirations a reality.
Key Features
1.1 Crore Government Jobs across multiple sectors within the next 5 years with a focus on skill development.
2.An initiative to turn 1 crore women into 'Lakhpati Didis' — rural entrepreneurs with an annual income of 10 lakh with the help of low-interest loans, e-commerce access, and vocational training.
3.Infrastructure Development Plan includes 4 new international airports, 7 expressways for better connectivity, smart city projects, and metro development. Apart from better connectivity, this expansion also aims at the creation of 25 lakh jobs.
4.Bihar Skill Mission 2.0 states the establishment of AIIMS-level hospitals, telemedicine facilities in remote areas, and free technical education for girls up to graduation level.
5.For Agricultural Growth, it promises interest-free crop loans up to 3 lakh, an MSP guarantee for all crops, modernization of cold storage and food-processing units, and electricity supply to facilitate irrigation.
6.For Digital Growth, the Sankalp Patra introduces a Digital Bihar Mission to facilitate every panchayat with high-speed internet, promoting digital education and simplification of government services through online delivery. It includes an AI-driven governance model for better monitoring of welfare schemes and more transparency in fund allocation.
